My Story

My name is Bonefish Mama, but you can call me Bonnie for short. I was named after the place I was found with my newborn kittens. They’re all grown up in families of their own now, and my mama days are long behind me. I’m 4-5 years old and ready for a home to call my own for the rest of my life. I’m incredibly shy. I spend a lot of time keeping to myself or in the company of other cats. If you really take the time to earn my trust, I’m learning that humans can be good company, too. Being pet is growing on me, and I really like treats and toys. I’ve been spending more and more time just sitting in the same room as my foster mom because I like to be involved, even when I don’t feel like being touched. My very favorite thing is the window. I love to soak up the sun and watch the birds outside. Cozy cubby holes are also very important to help me feel safe. I love lounging in my covered bed. I’m great with other cats and don’t mind cuddling up next to one every once in a while. I’ve never met a dog, but I hear they’re scary. I don’t have experience with kids, either, but I think it would be fine as long as they don’t expect to see much of me at least at first. I’m patiently waiting for my perfect family to find me. If that could be you, the nice humans at PAWS will setup a meeting for us.
