My Story

CARRIE is a spayed female cat whose owner had her ear tipped. That suggests she was originally a stray cat who underwent a spay surgery as a potential, feral cat. Obviously, she is a very friendly girl, but scared at finding herself and her brother now located at the shelter where they were surrendered the latter part of January. It may take a few days or longer for them to realize that they are safe. Right now they are housed in a condo in the hallway where dogs are also housed in crates so the noise level is a little uncomfortable for newcomers to the shelter. Even so, staff has already started to acclimate them, and reassure them that they are being taken care of during these cold winter days by providing them with a warm blanket for sleeping and snuggling. A big thank you to whoever donated it! These things really do get used at the shelter, and the animals appreciate them. Because she is already spayed, CARRIE will be able to go home the same day that she is adopted. Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedures and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking an adult size cat carrier with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt CARRIE. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
