My Story

Name: Discord Age: About 6 months Breed: Domestic medium hair Reason for being at shelter: Owner surrender - can't keep Description: Discord is a cute and sweet young kitty. She is shy of strangers and new things but quickly adapts with gentle and consistent interaction. The more socialization the better for her to fully blossom into a wonderful adult cat. Discord can't resist yummy treats and playtime. That's a great way to introduce yourself and entice her to engage with you. She will push other kitties out of the way to get her treats and is the first to chase any toys flashed in front of her, whether that's a feather toy or laser dot. It's so funny to watch her look around in wonderment for the dot that disappears and then suddenly appears again. What amazement. Discord likes being petted and responds with a good purr. She just needs a slow and gentle introduction to it, then she really likes it. Discord is a sweet kitty. OPHS is appointment only. All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to meet the animal. An application can be found on our website using this link https://www.ophumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application. Please allow 3-5 business days for us to process your application. We are screening the applications for the first BEST fit for each animal. If you are approved, you will be contacted by us via phone or email to schedule an appointment.
