My Story

With known, trusted people Dotty tolerates being pickup up and carried, but soon wants down. She lets you place her in your lap and will stay for short petting and brushing sessions, but prefers to sit next to you. Dotty is friendly if she knows you but hides in the presence of strangers and energetic kids. Quiet until meal time, then Dotty informs you that you are late. This pretty calico kitty was born in April 2020. Dotty likes watching birds out the window, plays by herself with toys and with interactive ones. She is passive with most cats, dislikes dogs, has met kids over age eight, and would enjoy a pal. She is treat motivated. Dotty enjoys the companionship of Delilah (born 2018), another adoptable cat. She uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits. Dotty would like a patient adopter willing to love her, building a relationship with Dotty to help her blossom. If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax, and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax.
