?What foster mom has to say about me: "Fizz may be one of the cutest cats I’ve ever seen. He was 100% the cutest kitten I’d ever seen. Something about his face is just perfect! He’s cute in pictures, but even cuter in person. Add in his small stature and delightful personality, and you have a recipe for heart melting. The sweet face he makes when you pet him--it gives me the warm fuzzies every time.
He was trapped living outside of a grocery store when he was a little kitten. He really didn’t like humans at first! One day, I was cleaning out the kennel he and his also spicy sister were living in. Out of nowhere, Fizz slowly crept up to me…and rubbed his face on my nose! It was the most adorable, surprising thing. He had never wanted me to pet him before that, but the switch flipped and he decided to inform me via nose nuzzles. I will never forget that moment. It is such a testament to his true personality.
One funny quirk about him is that he doesn't like to eat canned food. I don't get it, but I suppose it's his choice! He is naturally petite, even being free fed. He's so low-maintenance! He also strikes the perfect balance between affectionate and independent. He loves snuggling near you/on you (especially our legs), but isn't offended if you're gone all day.
Fizz is a total sweetie, and is obsessed with other animals. Emphasis on obsessed. He will follow our dogs and other cats around to rub on them. He definitely thinks of one of our dogs as "dog mom" and constantly tries to get her to groom him. He really just gets along with anyone and everyone, and they all love him right back. He's closest to his brother, Dewy, though!
He likes to snuggle with us in bed, and will purr and purr and purr if you pick him up. Fizz has so much love to give! He prefers to hide rather than greet strangers, but quickly becomes comfortable with a little patience. He’s not a big fan of the 4 year old hooligan that lives with us (can’t say I blame him...the kid is a tornado), so the best home for him would be a quiet-ish one without kids or with cat-savvy, older children. I have contemplated foster failing Fizz multiple times, but then I remember how many cats I already have...so I guess another lucky family will get to look at his adorable face every day!"
Fizz's adoption fee is $100, which helps our rescue cover the cost of his neuter, microchip, FeLV/FIV test (he is negative), vaccines, dewormings, and flea treatments. Please go to www.orphanpawsproject.org/adoption-application to apply to meet/adopt this special guy!
