True love is a hop, skip, and an animal shelter away. I’m Gertie – maybe I could have been called “dirty Gertie” – because I was so thin and dirty when I was found in Rolling Ridge Park in Stewartville. I’m a white and brown tabby adult female who was in rough shape when I came to Paws and Claws on February 8. I’m beautiful on the inside, and now that I’m cleaned up, I’m “purr-ty” Gertie on the outside too! I’m so happy to be warm, dry, fed, and sheltered. I’m quite friendly and affectionate. I love to be petted, and I allow people to hold me. I purr and chat and play. I’m quite content to be indoors. What could be better? I think can guess. A home? Someone to love me? Hop, skip, run!
