Ginger was surrendered because her owner went into a nursing home. As with so many surrenders we take in because their elderly owners are deceased or have to go in a nursing home, Ginger was not properly cared for before coming to Paws Animal Shelter. She was seven years old and had never been spayed. The family members who brought her to us were nice enough to get her spayed and up to date on vaccines. Unfortunately, we also learned that she was in dire need of a dental, as her mouth was in terrible shape. This was scheduled shortly after she arrived at Paws, and she had to have most of her upper teeth extracted as they were in such poor condition. This doesn't hinder her eating of dry food once her mouth was healed. Now that all of her medical issues have been resolved, she is in the lobby of our shelter where she can greet all of our visitors. She's a very sweet, loving cat who just wants a family to take good care of her and give her a forever home.
