Gumdrop is a two year old baby. Her sleek black fur turns into an orange hue under the sun, complementing her striking emerald green eyes. At two year old, she exudes an air of maturity beyond her years, carrying herself with a gentle grace that beckons for a loving touch. When you pet her, her face softens into an expression of pure contentment, revealing her love for affection and her appreciation for the simple joys of connection.
She remains chill and calm even in the face of less-than-friendly encounters with her current neighbors. Her preference for peace over conflict suggests she would likely adapt well to other cats.
Gumdrop doesn't ask for much -- just a quiet place where she can bask in the love of a caring companion, share in the stillness of a comfortable lap, and express her gratitude with soft purrs that resonate with her sweet, calm spirit.
A little more background of Gumdrop, she is one of the Paseo del Morro cats who have lived in this sanctuary and been cared for by Save a Gato, but facing the harsh fate of being put down since National Park Service plans to evict these gentle souls from their home. Although our cats are all located in Puerto Rico, they can fly to mainland US. We can usually find flight angels to bring the cat to you once you are approved for adoption. We don't charge for arranging the trip, but adopter are responsible for pet fee charged by airlines, which is usually $95 to $125 depending on the airlines.
