Heather

Heather. This beautiful girl and her two newborn kittens were found by a good samaritan while walking her dog at a park in Smyrna back in late August. They had been placed in a box and left under a tree in the park. Heather had a very large, open wound on her right side. A good samaritan contacted us for help and we sent the kitties to one of our vets. Heather's wound was treated and the two kittens were healthy. After a few days under hospital care, Heather and her kittens went home with a foster. Heather's wound has healed really well, but there was apparent nerve damage to her front right leg so she cannot fully extend that leg at the knee. Heather uses the leg (i.e. grooming and to grab a hand for pets, etc.) but she cannot extend fully it or put any weight on it when walking. She holds the leg up when walking and gets around just fine using only 3 legs. Heather is estimated at 2 to 2.5 years old, is Neg FIV/FELV, has had FVRCP, rabies vaccine, been spayed and microchipped. She is super sweet, loving and very loyal. She looks like and has many personality traits of a Siamese. She does well with older children, however, she is still a little nervous around other kitties in the foster home and for that reason, might do best as an only kitty. She has not been exposed to dogs.
