Huhula

Huhula is an ~5 month old neutered male. He is current on his vaccinations and microchipped! Meet Huhula! His owl-inspired moniker may be a bit inaccurate when describing this handsome man. Unlike the animal he is named after, believe it or not, cats are not nocturnal (they are most active at dusk and dawn)! So you won't find him mysteriously lurking throughout the night--unless maybe it's to find a toy or better scope out his new crib. However, he does like to watch and learn what his "prey" is doing (or new family members!) and he is looking for a calmer home that can accommodate his shyer tendencies. Huhula went into foster care for being shy and undersocialized, but now this boy LOVES to play (with wand toys especially) and be pet along the side of his face/under his chin. He keeps getting sweeter and really showing of his curious side (even though he is not really a lap kitty or enjoys being carried--he is still too nervous at the moment!) Toys and wet food (in moderation) are the key to his heart alongside taking things at his pace in a confined environment, such as a spare bedroom or bathroom. Ask our staff for tips to best incorporate a shyer friend into the home! Huhula lives with other cats in foster and does great, however, we do require he go to a home with an outgoing confident cat who needs a friend and sidekick. Because of his skittish nature, he would best flourish in a home with children over 5yrs old who can control their impulse for sudden, fast, and urgent movement.
