My Story

Meet Jasmine! She is a petite 9 month calico who was sadly abandoned by her previous owners in a Target parking garage in West LA. Since her rescue, she has really come out of her shell and learned to trust humans again. But she really does not like other cats! She needs to be the only kitty in her new home. Jazzy loves attention of all kinds: cuddling in bed, playing, getting kisses, and being held. She also loves to jump up and cuddle you in the bathroom, demanding pets! She bonds strongly to her human. Currently in foster care in Long Beach, CA. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation. All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption. To begin the application process, please fill out our application here: https://form.jotform.com/212117959297062 We will try our best to be in touch within 24-48 hours. Thank you! ____________________ Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue. We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized. We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis. When space allows, we also pull death-row cats from local high kill shelters, work with them in foster care, get them up to date on their healthcare, and match them with their new forever family. If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets. If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments. Please send us an email at [email protected] to be a part of our rescue community. Thanks for your support!
