My Story

Name: Lexie Age: 12 years Breed: Tabby Reason for being at shelter: Owner passed away Description: Lexie has found the purr-fect cozy accommodations inside a cat hut. She really likes it in there. It's warm, it's comfortable, and it's safe. One of the other cats in her roaming room can be a bit growly around other cats. So, why bother engaging. Lexie can get all the love, attention, and treats from inside her hut. And boy does she like that. She gobbles up her treats. She purrs when she's petted. And she stretches out her body into relaxation mode while being petted. All the comforts a kitty could want. Eventually, she'll decide to come out of her hut and explore the rest of the room. Until then, she's happy being on the receiving end of everything good without having to demand it because it all comes to her. Because her owner passed away, we don't know Lexie's history or her exposure to kids. It's likely she lived in an adult home. And an adult home would probably suit her best. Since she's a recent arrival, we don't know her level of play interest. What we do know is that she appreciates love, attention, and treats from people and we're sure she'd like to develop a human bond with her new adoptive friend. She is a sweet girl and a couch potato. Lexie and Puzzle came from the same home, are of the same age, and are bonded. They will be adopted as a pair only. OPHS is appointment only. All potential adopters must fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to meet the animal. An application can be found on our website using this link https://www.ophumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application. Please allow 3-5 business days for us to process your application. We are screening the applications for the first BEST fit for each animal. If you are approved, you will be contacted by us via phone or email to schedule an appointment.
