Little Mattie was found by a city worker named Matt (she was named after her first hero). She was laying in a puddle of water after a long night of rain. He took her to the city office where the foster’s daughter worked and they called her. She rushed and got her and prayed to God to save her and talked to her the whole way to the vet. She had a horrendous head wound – based on the wound, we believe she was bludgeoned or caught in a car’s engine.
She deserved a chance and the foster and her husband fund raised locally (she was a couple of hours from us) and were able to take care of her expenses. She is now ready to be spayed and go to her furever home.
She has been moved to a foster closer to us and she is having a grand time with the other cats in the home and taking on the broom – while the other cats run, she takes in on! She’s amazing. If you’d like to adopt this little survivor, start by completing our application. She’ll be ready to go home mid-February right after Valentine’s Day! How fitting for such a little love.
