Hi. My name is Mowgli and I need a hooman. My last Dad adopted me from Second Chance Animal Shelter in 2017 when I was 6 years old but he went to that Great Warm Lap in the sky almost 3 years ago. I missed him but his son continued to take care of me, and we were happy together. But he joined his Dad in January. Now I live alone and Aunty Jeanne comes to take are of me twice a day, but I’m LONELY!
Aunty Jeanne tells me I’m about 12 years old and she’s scheduled a check-up for me (but I don’t know what that means – I’m not sure I like the idea).
I’m a bit shy at first, but once I warm up to you, I can be quite playful. I enjoy a warm lap, too. I like Friskies wet and dry food and I like most wet food flavors. I have no experience with kids of any size, nor dogs but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like them. I’m not sure about living with another cat. We might have to include them in a meet-and-greet. I love being brushed and afterward, I’ll chase treats if you want to throw them one at a time! I’m used to having someone home with me most of the time and I’m really having trouble being alone so much. Aunty Jeanne is here as often as she can, but I understand she has her own life.
I come well equipped with 2 sets of food and water bowls, an automatic feeder (which I’m still getting the hang of), food, a few toys, litter and litter box, my brush, a sleeping pad for when I nap on the floor, a heated throw that I used to share with my brother. Aunty Jeanne says I also have a soft-sided carrier for when we need to go out like when I go for my mani/pedi every couple of months.
