Mushroom is an absolute treasure! This super friendly, confident cat was found huddled over in the middle of a busy road, mange from head to toe, starving and a severe eye injury which resulted in it being removed. While in foster, he learned how to play, the comfort of a pet bed and about tasty treats. His confidence allows him to explore new toys, scratching posts along with cuddles all day. Mushroom gets along well with other cats, though we are not sure about dogs!
He is litter box trained and loves to spoon or lay on my chest when his foster lays down with him. He was found in the middle of a street full of mange, skin and bones with an erupted eye. Close to death. We addressed mange first then eye removal. Through it all, he is a super friendly cat and grateful for a second chance at life. He is super special.
His foster mom says "He is an absolute love! You fall in love with him as soon as you meet him, he has that energy you can't resist. Mushroom always greets me at the door. He loves to snuggle or lay on my chest. He is very laid back but if you roll a ball to him or a string toy, he will react. I hear him at night playing with toys in his room. He is the perfect combination of chill and play. He is fed wet food twice a day (Friskies, Weruva chicken pate, Wellness Core Tiny tasters) and I have dry 24/7 available to him (Kit n Kaboodle, Science diet). He is a good eater and filled out nicely during his recovery. He loves temptations. I tried three other fosters with Mushroom, two females hissed and kept their distance, and one male bullied him. I've kept him separate for well-deserved peace. I think he would be fine with another chill cat but not with an aggressive cat. He does not need a friend, he is very happy just being inside."
