My Story

Meet Pele and Laka, two bonded and very sweet sibling sisters who came from Kauai, Hawaii. They are energetic and curious and are approximately 10 months old. They are still a bit shy but are warming up to humans. These sisters are domestic short-hair/mixed, brown tabbies who love to snuggle with each other, chase each other, and explore their surroundings (including the bathtub). They love to play with their catnip mice and little tennis balls and especially love to watch the birds in the feeders out the slider window. They love their wet and dry food and don’t really like to share their daily Churu treats with each other. Laka is a bit more shy than her sister Pele, but is quickly warming up to having her belly rubbed. Both purr up a storm and would make a great addition to your family. What Pele and Laka are looking for in a home: - They need a home where you are willing to be gentle and kind to continue to guide them into adjusting to indoor life. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers make them nervous. - They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair. - They still have kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active playtime. - They need to live indoors only. - They have no known history with other cats. - They have no known history with dogs. - They have no known history with children. All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Thank you for your interest in adopting Pele and Laka! If your household fits the above criteria, you can apply to adopt him by filling out this questionnaire: https://bit.ly/ACPAdoptionForm Only applicants who complete the questionnaire will be considered. Many of our cats receive numerous applications, and we thank you for your patience while we review applications and find the best match. Please do not follow up on your application by phone or email as this will not expedite a response. As a 100% volunteer-run organization, we appreciate your understanding.
