My Story
*To meet or adopt Sky & Smoke, please come visit them in the Adoption Room! We're open weekends 12-6p and we're located behind Beastie Bestie at 751 Franklin Ave. We cannot reply to DMs or inquiries from 3rd party pet websites.
*Age: adults, approximately 3 years old as of 3/24/22
*Temperament (Sky): shy at first, affectionate, loves to be petted, playful, dog-cat (plays fetch and waits at the door for you)
*Temperament (Smoke): timid at first, food-motivated, gentle, tolerates pats, playful, loves other cats. Most of his teeth were extracted, but that doesn't slow him down at all!

Smoke (gray tabby) and Sky (tuxedo) were rescued from a dirty parking lot as kittens, scared and starving. While they aren't related by blood, they've been in foster care together since they came inside and are as close as real brothers now.
Sky can be shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he becomes a puddle of love and can't get enough of being brushed, petted, and getting his belly scratched. He likes food, but play and attention are more his thing. Sky is all about having fun! He loves to chase ping pong balls with Smoke, run after treats, hunt down stray flies, cool down in the sink, watch the birds outside the windows, stare into space pondering the universe, and, of course, receive chin scratches! Since he hasn't known too many humans, it takes him some time to get comfortable, but once you're his human, he'll be there at the door when you come home, will bring you his toys when it's time to play, sit close to you when you're watching tv, and will be on your bed at night. Oh, and if you throw some treats for him to hunt down, he'll be your best friend in no time.
Smoke loves to play, eat, chase Sky, eat, look out the window, eat, chase after treats, eat the treats and then eat some food and then chase Sky again :) With patience (and, of course, treats!), Smoke might let you pet him, but he's more of a cat's cat. Smoke also enjoys lazy sunbaths in the window and resting his eyes in quiet contemplation.

GOOD HOME is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. All of our cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, SNAP tested and microchipped. Our adoption process includes an application, a friendly conversation, a quick home check, a contract and an adoption fee of $225 per cat (which helps us cover veterinary care) and $150 for seniors or cats with manageable illnesses. The fee is $25 for FeLV+ or cats that require especially high levels of ongoing care.
