My Story

We're located behind Beastie Bestie Pet at 751 Franklin Ave. and we're open 12-5pm on weekends. We are not able to reply to DMs emails or inquiries made through 3rd party pet adoption websites.Read more about Spike on Instagram at @goodhome_stripedmarksave!Age: young he will turn 1 on 3/1/2023Temperament: shy at first (just needs time) playful affectionate curious energeticSpikewill benefit from an experienced patientcat personSpikeMUST go to a home with another cat companionSpike was found in a Park Slope entryway as a kitten. He came in to @goodhome_brooklyncatfarm for assessment(diagnosis: spicy!) and initial socialization before moving on to @goodhome_stripedmarksave where you can see the amazing progress he made in a relatively short period there.Spike is definitely a character! Starting out life as a hissy confused and fearful kitten he now accepts pets and even walks up to his foster humans to request them! He can still get nervous if you walk towards him too quickly but wow has he really changed. He went from cowering in a corner to quickly becoming a social butterfly!Spike must go toa home with another friendly/confident cat or kitten. He has relied on his feline foster brotherfor a lot of guidance. He's a little copycat - if hesees the resident cat jump upto get pets he will follow suit. He's also very playful so a younger cat that could play with him would be great!Spike's still young and growing so he'sa hungry boy with an impressive appetite. Other things to note: if you're a plant lover you'll want to keep your plants out of his reach as he loves to play with them despite redirection efforts. And adorably Spike isn't much of a meower - he has more of a chirp. To meet or adopt Spike please visit him in our Adoption Room!
