My Story

Squeakers Please give this quirky old man a home! Squeakers apparently lived mostly outside, though he did have someone providing very basic care for him. If he could talk, he would probably have a lot of stories to share. As it is, this old man requires a little time to trust. Squeakers likes to be pet on the head and back, and he will occasionally crawl onto you for a snuggle. Mostly, he prefers to lay next to you, and he can have quite the purr! He will tolerate being picked up, but does not like to be held for long. He does not like to be brushed or have his tail touched and may growl or swat. Thus, he would do best in a home without small children. He is not super fond of other animals, but has tolerated other cats for short periods in his foster home, as long as they give him some space. He may eventually adapt to other animals, but he has spent a bunch of his life just trying to survive. Due to his age, Squeakers has had to have some teeth pulled, and he is on thyroid medication. The ideal home would be one that would give Squeakers a soft bed and some leeway for those occasional grumbles. He deserves a peaceful life!
