Meet Teddy! Teddy came in through the cruelty department when his owner became overwhelmed with the amount of cats in her care. Now this easy going guy is ready for his furrever home! Teddy spent some time in foster care for our annual Home for the Holidays program and is described as cautious, but mellow! He did ok with the other cats and although shy at first, warmed up to the older kids in his home as well! He likes head pets and scritches, the scratching post, and curling up in a nice warm bed! He will tell you when he's had enough, and will "love bite" ever so gently...but then come back for more when he's ready! Teddy seems to be happiest with all the attention on him, talking and soliciting attention much more than when other cats are around. This fluffy dude is currently spending his days curled up in a chair at the THS thrift store!! He would love to go to a quiet home without too much commotion where he can people watch from atop a tall cat tree! Teddy is, as his foster describes him, "a distinguished, handsome gentleman. He has very handsome features including his wide-set eyes, broad nose, and large paws. He tends to stay fairly quiet, but has begun to "talk" more now that he is with me one-on-one. When his foster sister tried to steal all of my attention, Teddy would keep out of her way and let her push him around a bit, never wanting to argue with such a strong female personality. Instead, he's a gentle giant with a sweet temperament that is starting to really know what love from a person is like. He doesn't let me hold him yet, but he has taken a liking to sitting on my chair, and is now starting to stay on the chair with me when I sit down. He shares it with me for a few seconds before hopping down to rub against my legs. I'm hoping soon he will be ok with sitting on my lap! He's worth being patient!"
