My Story

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE YOU RESPOND. It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life. ZIVA DAVID (formerly know as CHIPPIE) was saved by an independent rescuer. The independent rescuer had children and a very busy house. ZIVA DAVID was moody, mean a nd never wanted to be touched. ZIVA DAVID has been with us for over a year. She has become loving (on her terms of course. She lives in our cat room. She will jump from tree to tree to get people's attention. She purrs instantly when you touch her. She DOES NOT LIKE to be picked up, but will come see you and hang out. ZIVA DAVID will need a family that will love her with all her quirks. She is feisty and sweet. She is demanding of love. She wants to be with a person that just lets her be her. We think in a home with understanding and soft older children she will love them. She will need to the the QUEEN cat in her home. ZIVA DAVID is DOMESTIC SHORT HAIR / TABBY MIX. She is about 3 years old and is tolerant of other cats. She has been around young children and she was selective of the ones she liked. She is very curious about dogs. ZIVA DAVID is currently at our rescue in Hemet, California. ADOPTION PROCESS: 1. Go to Workinwhiskers.com (Click on ADOPT) 2. Fill Out Online Form 3. Submit Online Application 4. Someone Will Call / Text to Do Phone Interview 5. Will be notified of Approved Application 6. Home Visit (WILL BE SCHEDULED) 7. Official Meet and Greet with Kitty 8. Take the Kitty Home ************************ NO OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS *********************** DECEMBER 2023: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees. Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is between 4 pm - 9 pm. Volunteers in the evening are only there in the evening for 3 hours. Please call the PetSmart location, email us or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. VISITING HOURS are based on volunteer availability. The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below. PETSMART in Murrieta, California off Madison Avenue in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the phone interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated! ********** PLEASE NO CALLS. NO ONE IS AVAILABLE TO TAKE CALLS ********** If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets. Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption. We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient. ZIVA DAVID is ALREADY fully vetted. The adoption fee of $200 covers: Spay FVRCP shots RABIES shot FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative) Drontal Dewormer Stronghold Flea Control Microchip We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS. If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask! If you have any questions not covered here, please feel free to email us: [email protected]
