Amber

Meet Miss Amber! This lovely lady is 50 ish pounds, and we think around 8-10 year old senior. Amber came in as a stray to a shelter in California. She won the hearts of all the volunteers with her sweet demeanor. She is potty trained, uses the doggy door, kennel trained, and knows how to sit, takes treats very gentle. Amber is very affectionate, and loves people! Are you home a lot and your house feels lonely? Have you been thinking about fostering but don’t know how to try it? Amber could be the most perfect girl for someone who is a loving companion. She loves to go for walks, watch the birds and squirrels from the window, roam the backyard and get all the smells in, then come in and take a long cozy nap. Amber walks well on a leash, and loves to go for walks. Amber is living with 3 foster brothers. She has been coexisting lovely, but would maybe prefer a home with less dogs. She has met the resident cat a few times, and doesn’t seem interested in the cat. We think Amber would live in a cat friendly home no problem, especially if the cat is dog savvy. She seems to like male and females, and currently lives with a 14 year old. Seniors are low maintenance and fill your home with so much joy. If you are looking for companionship, but aren’t interested in the responsibilities of a young dog, this senior girl might be perfect for you! She is low maintenance, and just wants to be loved on in her golden years.
