Amber is the sweetest girl, she will be your absolute best friend, always by your side. Amber is very food motivated and she will lure you in for more treats with her puppy dog eyes.
Amber is very playful, She loves to play with other dogs and is good with kids 7 and up due to her excitement and jumping. We have not fully tested her around cats. She rides in a car okay, still nervous but we are working on that.
She is crate trained, house trained, knows sit and comes with call. Amber has a moderate to low energy level and is always ready to snuggle during down time.

Once your application has been received and reviewed, you will be contacted via email or phone by one of our volunteers. After your application is approved, the foster parent for the dog you have selected will contact you to answer any questions you may have and determine if that dog is a good match for your family.
If you have no particular dog in mind, we will be happy to keep your application on file and notify you if the right dog should come into rescue. Catahoula Rescue of New England is an all-volunteer group. Dogs in our program are fostered by volunteers. The foster homes care for our dogs as if they were their own. All dogs have received vaccinations appropriate to age and are spayed or neutered.
Amber’s adoption donation is $450 which includes Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella, fecal test, heartworm test, is on preventative, microchip and neuter depending on age at time of adoption. If the dog is too young for a spay/neuter then they will be adopted with a spay/neuter contract and deposit. We do not have a physical shelter; all our dogs are fostered in individual foster homes across the New England and Canada.
