My Story

Sweet Amy was picked up as a stray and brought to our affiliate shelter in Alabama. She had injuries on her body, roadrash on her stomach and an injury to her rear leg/hip. The Drs. tried popping her hip back into place a few times with no success and it was further determined she needed FHO surgery. RTH stepped up to give this girl a much deserved chance and had the surgery performed. Albeit the surgery was successful, due to all the scar tissue that developed in the area the repair was a little challenging but overall went very well. There is a possibility that Amy may walk with a limp down the road we aren't sure, but what we do know is that it will not stop her or affect her in any way from living a happy and healthy life. Amy is a little over a year old, is sweet as pie, and very friendly and playful. She can be a little shy when meeting new people but once she gets to know you the skies the limit!! She gets along great with other dogs, but we do not know about cats. Amy is not spayed yet as she was healing from her surgery but will be soon. She will also be UTD on her vaccines and microchipped. Amy is currently located in Alabama and will be making her freedom ride up to NY shortly. She is available w/transport to NC/NY/NJ/CT/PA.
