My Story

"The sun will come out tomorrow....bet your bottom dollar" My past has been a bit stormy, but here I am, looking for that silver lining. I'm Annie, a 1 year old, 35 pound Mountain Cur and I've suffered a great deal before being rescued, and now, I'm ready for a lifetime of love and comfort. I gave birth to a litter and ferociously protected them from humans and the bitter cold. I am now taking care of 3 little survivors and healing some old sores. I'm already house broken and working on crate and leash training. "Sit" and "down" are commands I already know. I'm a quick learner, ready to showcase my skills. A fenced yard is a must for me. I like the feeling of freedom and safety it provides. You'll often find me on the couch, enjoying the simple pleasures of warm place indoors. I'll admit, I can be a bit timid.I will need a patient adopter, ready to help me with new situations and provide the reassurance I need. I know I can blossom into the shining star I'm meant to be. So, if you're looking for an adorable friend to bring a ray of sunshine into your life, look no further. Annie's here, and the sun will come out tomorrow – and every day after that! My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! **Petfinder inquiries are NOT official applications! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out* Don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook!-www.facebook.com/rescueonespringfield *Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home. We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals!
