My Story
Who’s this happy boy? This is Banjo and look at that smile! Banjo was born on 05/04/2023. He is a Husky/Retriever mix who loves everyone he meets. Adults, kids, and other dogs, he wants to be everyone’s friend. Banjo is full of puppy energy and likes to work off his energy by playing, wrestling, tugging with his toys, and taking long walks. Another plus about this boy is that he is a HUGE love bug; Cuddles, snuggles, and lap time give him some love and attention and melt. He also is very smart. He already knows to sit, stay, and rollover. He is eager to please, so he seems to be very trainable. We are unsure how he would handle a cat or other small animals, so he would have to be tested. He exhibited a bit of resource guarding with food, water, and toys when he came to us, but now that he is more comfortable with the dog he is living within his foster home, he is not as likely to protest. He is crate trained. According to his foster…. The perfect home for Banjo would have active dog owners who enjoy the outdoors, long walks, hiking, etc. Someone who also has another active dog in the home. Children in the home will also be a plus for Banjo, as he loves kids. A fenced-in yard would be best, but he is handling being let out on a leash well at our home. He would do great with a family or active single looking for a snuggly, amazing young dog eager to learn and please his owner. He is one special dog!
