Barret

This handsome boy is Barrett! Barrett is a 3 year old Mini Australian Shepherd but he is currently overweight (he’s 39 lbs but should be 33-35 lbs). Barrett is a great dog. He is super smart, learns quickly and is treat motivated! He loves hanging out chewing on his bully sticks or elk antlers. He is very loving and cuddly and enjoys playing with his toys, playing tug of war and wrestling under blankets. He is a sweet boy! He did have some professional training but his current owner wasn’t able to keep up with it. They do think he enjoys learning and would love to get back in structured classes. He still has the silly puppy brain and can be stubborn sometimes. He is potty trained and goes in and out of the doggie door (well sometimes he “forgets” how to get back in - lol and will wait to be let back in). He does not like being put in a crate (gets anxiety when he’s forced in). He sleeps in the bed and is allowed to get up on the furniture (he has never destroyed anything in the house). Barrett needs to be with a young very active person/family who can give him plenty of exercise, has the energy to take him on long walks and to work with him on training.
