Bear is an adorable, soft, gentle, lovable 4 .5 month old Retriever mix with a sweet disposition. He sleeps great in a crate at night. Plays very well with his foster brother and sister (4 year old/8 month old black labs). He loves people, but can be nervous if you approach too quickly. He is great with children. He is shy with new people and loud noises, and he cowers a bit when redirected for unwanted puppy behavior but he definitely responds best to positive encouragement and reinforcement.
He is a typical curious puppy but listens very well to commands including “NO”. He is a very fast learner. He can sit, lay down and wait for his food bowl to be offered. He does not have food aggression or territory issues. He has a gentle mouth and does not snatch treats out of your hand.
He would make a great addition to any family but I’m sure he would prefer to have other dogs in the household. Bear is growing into his personality and paws and is looking for a patient, active and loving family to call his own.
If you're searching for a loyal and loving companion, Bear is the perfect match for you! With his gentle nature and playful spirit, Bear is sure to melt your heart and become your faithful companion for life.
If you’re interested in meeting this sweet boy, head on over to our website at www.foreverchangedar.org/adopt-a-pet to complete our non-binding adoption application. PetFinder is just an inquiry.
Due to the puppy's young age, adopter of this puppy will be required to sign a contract legally obligating you to have the animal altered and include a spay/neuter fee at the time of adoption for a future spay/neuter paid for by FCAR with one of our affiliated veterinarians.
They are up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and preventatives. The adopter will need to arrange for the puppy's spayed/neutered surgery for when the puppy turns 6 months of age, and the cost of the procedure is included in the spay/neuter fee collected at the time of adoption.
