Bear is a 1.5-year old, 65 lb male, Labrador/Catahoula mix.
Bear is currently located in South Texas and will be transported.
Howdy there! My name is Bear, as in Teddy Bear, because even though I'm a big boy, I really want to be a lap doggy so I can get all the cuddles! I'm not a puppy but I am a young guy, so I have lots of energy and I like to have fun. My favorite toys are tennis balls (hello, I'm part Labrador) and water bottles... that crunchy sound they make, love it! I also love playing tug of war and going for walks. I could do with a little more training while walking as I sometimes want to go faster, but I'm really not bad at all. I'm just eager to get going and discover the world. I am pretty smart and treat motivated, so I would love to go to some obedience training and expand my skills! I'm a people pleaser at heart. I am good with other dogs and I've been around kids (don't live with them though) and I'm good, but would be better with more training so I don't knock someone over when I get excited. Cats don't bother me, but I also don't live with them so I'm not sure how I would feel if I had to be around them all the time (do cats like water bottles or balls?) I am also crate trained and potty trained, so no problems there. As much as I love my foster family, I would really love to find a family of my very own, who will love and care for me and in return, I promise to be the very best doggy ever.
