Yellow Labrador Retriever & German Shepherd Dog Mix
Beetle Juice is a 3yr old Labrador Retriever/German Shepherd mix (confirmed via Embark DNA test). He started training in Urban Search and Rescue - Human Remains detection but he wasn't a good fit for the handler he was paired with. Beetle Juice loves training and learning new things. He's been introduced to agility, directional control, and search. He loves frisbee and could easily get into any kind of dog sport or job you are interested in.
Beetle Juice is food and toy motivated for training. He's high energy, unphased by loud noises, and dark spaces. Beetle Juice is friendly with people he knows, but is aloof with strangers and has zero desire to be petted by someone he does not know. He can be reactive to strange people and dogs that approach him when he is in a crate or kennel.
With appropriate introductions he is good with other dogs. He did live with two cats and was fine with them supervised in a house but should not be trusted unsupervised around cats or other small animals, he will chase them when out of the house.
