Meet Bertha
Bertha is our adorable 10lb 14yo Super Senior Miniature Poodle.
She has been shaved down, vetted, spayed, chipped and up to date on vaccinations. As most super seniors, Bertha has beginning stages of renal disease but she isn’t phased she is active and happy - she lives everyday to its fullest!!
Bc of the renal issue we have her listed as special needs as a renal diet would be great for her but also isn’t a dealbreaker- there are many kinds but if she doesn’t like it then we would prefer her to eat whatever she wants.
Bertha was very malnourished and neglected. She had limited access to fresh food and drinking water. But it’s been a few weeks since she was taken in and she is doing great!
Bertha has no idea she is a super senior - she is a spunky, sweet old lady who LOVES attention.
She enjoys cuddles, food, walks and naps- in other words she is the perfect companion and will make the best ‘best friend’ .
Bertha is good with other dogs and cats. She is working on her potty training reinforcement and is doing great- we expect some backsliding during transition so patience and consistency is a must!
We are looking for an amazing adopter who is looking to provide her with a soft bed, a lap to cuddle in, some good food and lots of attention for however long she is in the world. Much of her life has been hard so please consider making the last part of her life the best part of her life!
She is a special girl and has so much love to give.
