My Story

This handsome floof is Brooks, and he is the bestest boy looking for a furever family to love. This boy is quite the gentlepyr, preferring a chill lifestyle where he can take in everything that is going on at his own pace. During the day, Brooks likes to keep an eye on his property in case any intruder did not get the memo, but for the most part, Brooks simply likes the feeling of the soft breeze on his face, enjoys watching the clouds take different shapes and the fascinating colors of the sky as the time passes. Of course, just like many boys his age, Brooks is always eager to take his hoomans on their daily walks - reading the 'pee mail' is just icing on the cake :) At home, Brooks is definitely in the running for the couch potato championship - after all, why would one ever leave the comforts of a cushy spot? Well, Brooks admits that the exception can be made when it comes to mealtimes, or when peanut butter, pumpkin, or chicken is the picture! All in all, Brooks is simply the most lovable floof ball who adores being petted, brushed, and loved upon. If you are lucky enough to be his hooman, we are pawsitive that he will love you to the end of time! NYS Registered Rescue # RR102 NGPR dogs are in foster homes at the location specified on their full listing. View the full listing (with location, fee and application link) at HTTPS://NATIONALPYR.ORG/ADOPTABLE-DOGS Completion of an application is required to be considered for any dog. Please fill out the application on our website and we will contact you. HTTPS://NATIONALPYR.ORG/ADOPTION-APPLICATION/ Due to the high level of interest we can't respond to emails unless an application has been submitted. Our goal is to assess every application on its own merits. Key considerations are: 1) the experience of the applicant with large breed dogs 2) children in the household or regularly visiting the household are ready for a large-breed dog who is a guardian by nature (www.nationalpyr.org/know-the-breed) and 3) the sex of other dogs currently residing in the household to avoid same-sex aggression issues. For puppies under six months old, the applicant’s ability to socialize the puppy with older dogs is a priority. Secure VISIBLE fencing is required; invisible fencing WILL NOT contain this breed.
