Bugsy **Loves to play ball**

Bugsy was found as a stray by his foster. He loves kids and loves MOST people. Bugsy is good on a leash other than trying to walk himself. He blows off energy easily and loves to chase a ball and will run after one till he drops, most of the time will bring it back for you to throw again. Kennel trained. Loves to go for car rides and settles right down on the seat! Wants to curl up with you on the chair, preferably touching you at all times. LOVES fireworks and thinks they are sparkly and wants to investigate ?. Doesn't mind thunder! Also doesn't mind rain and will gladly splash in puddles. No signs of food aggression and gentle about taking treats. Once he calms down he is mellow and will hang out with you all day in a dog bed. Is utterly goofy and too cute for his own good. He gets VERY hyper on meeting new people, will jump up in excitement. Still scared of a brush, so grooming has to be done slowly and with patience. He WILL BOLT out the door and isn't great about returning since he likes to play keep away. He will need an owner that knows how to prevent this action with a baby gate or keeping him in a different room when people are going in and out of their home. He requires a fenced yard to play. Bugsy thinks cats want to play so we would recommend a no-cat household. He is not aware that cats play different than dogs do. Bugsy is easily bored. He needs toys or canine friends in the household. Kenneling while away from home would be recommended. The foster is working on house training. He will ask to go out but it's more of a very subtle running over the door looking at it. Adopter would need to be a good listener to his ques and let him out or have a doggie door for him to go out on his own. For Pet's Sake Rescue is a Mississippi based rescue. All animals are currently in MS. Mississippi is overpopulated with too many animals, not enough adopters, and many high kill shelters. Our goal is to keep animals alive and out of kennels into their forever homes as quickly as possible. Each animal is quarantined and vetted during their time in our care. Each adopted pet is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped and has current flea treatment unless otherwise noted. Once the invoice is paid, your pet is "on hold" for you to pick up or we can transport the pet to a designated location closer to you via transport. Transports are arranged for specific dates. We will discuss these dates and locations with you during the initial phone call. We are currently unable to adopt pets to MA and RI residents.
