My Story

BUSTER MOON wants to be your Valentine! He's an absolutely adorable little mixed breed boy, about 18 months old and fully grown at a perfect 19.5 pounds. He has a beagle face, short legs, a longish body and curly tail. We're guessing he's a beagle/corgi mix, plus something smaller to account for his petite size. Buster Moon landed in rescue through no fault of his own -- he was owner surrendered from a household full of kids, dogs and cats. He's an active little guy, so we're guessing that's the reason he had to go. Buster Moon is a pistol who needs a home with a physically-fenced yard suitable for zoomies. He loves toys and treats. Buster Moon is very opinionated, especially when he wants attention and is probably too vocal for an apartment or condo. He loves people of all ages, other dogs and kitties. He might chase a cat that runs, but if he catches up to the kitty he will smother it in kisses. If you'd like to meet this perfectly adorable little guy, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoption fee covers the dog's veterinary care, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip, deworming, flea and tick prevention, heartworm prevention and any other needed veterinary care. A deposit is required to take a dog home for a trial period. The deposit will be applied to the dog's final adoption fee.
