Butters Black Mouth Cur Winter Haven, FL

Butters is a tan and white male Black Mouth Cur mix. He is 2 years old and a really big baby. Butters does well with people of all ages when he gets excited he likes to jump on you and could easily knock over small children so it might be best for him to go to a home without them. We are working with him to correct this and he is catching on quickly. Butters loves his toys and enjoys chewing on them or playing with them by throwing stuffies in the air and chasing them down - he is a very funny and entertaining boy. His favorite activity is to run around and play! He thinks he is a lap dog and loves to lay in your lap and be near you to get love. This boy enjoys being hugged and petted. Butters has learned to wait at the door for you to let him out but, like any dog you will need to watch the door and train him at home this same behavior. He is completely potty trained in the house and will sit in front of you when he needs to go out. Butters does not like to be in a crate. He has good house manners. He knows the cues sit and paw. When Butters is ready for bed he will let you know and wants you to tuck him into his dog bed with his pillow and blanket. He absolutely loves having a head pillow and won't sleep without it. We are not sure what happened to Butters in the past to make him afraid of other large dogs. He will need to be your one and only. To be honest, he is such a great dog you will not even want another!
