Meet Butterscotch! Butterscotch is a 10 month old male German Shepherd/Husky mix. Butterscotch was surrendered alongside his brother. Their previous owners were unable to properly care for them due to disability and felt it would be best to rehome them. Butterscotch doesn't let it get him down, though! He is your typical happy-go-lucky pup who is excited for what life can bring him!
Butterscotch is still young enough to have plenty of that famous puppy energy, but he's also old enough to be able to chill. Once he gets his wiggles out, he's a huge cuddle! He does know the command "sit" and should be a delight to train with the right owner. He also walks wonderfully on a leash. Butterscotch was previously kept indoors, but will still need some help on potty training. Potential owners need to be aware of the commitment when taking on a puppy - especially when it comes to training. Butterscotch has been around kids and did well with them, though he does jump. He has never lived with cats, but he has met our office cats here at the shelter and did well with them. He has gotten along well with his brother and some of our other dogs here at the shelter. We still recommend a meet and greet with any other animals in the home prior to adopting, just to make sure Butterscotch would be the right addition to your family.
