Intake Date: 29 January 2024 -------- Age at Intake: 7 and 11 years respectively ----- Breed: dont laugh...Husky/Chihuahua mix ----- Size: 15 lbs ----- Status: Pound Pull ----- Compatible with: Dogs, cats, children. ----- Suitable for: home with a fenced yard, apartment with adequate leashed exercise ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: none major noted. Need to lose weight and wear belly bands for a while ----- Additional Notes: Welcome Bros!! Buzz and Woody. Don't poke fun at their names, my creativity was lost at husky/chihuahua cross. These boys are SO HANDSOME. They are small, like a barn cat. So don't let their breeds fool you. I guess it was more chihuahua than husky. These boys came from a bit of a hoarding home so likely some inbreeding or Lord knows what. They are a bit "husky" and not the breed so we are working on a slimfast program. It will be better for their joints and lifespan. After all, obesity knocks a dogs life down by 2.5 yrs on average and these bros deserve to live their best lives NOW. Woody is the father (the short hair) and Buzz is apparently his son. I love them. They are nice guys. This is the first time in their lives that they have had a yard and they are so happy! Exploring and watering every tree. They ride well in the car in their crate and pretty much do everything together. We are hoping at their age that we won't have to split them up for adoption but we will if we have to. Please don't make us have to. Two dogs are better than one! Just ask...Me!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If interested in meeting and potentially adopting please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match an adoption is finalized at that time. Adoption fee is $175 and all dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and treated for any known medical needs. Breeds are not guaranteed but often a best guess. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. If a yard is present, a secure fence is prioritized.
