Calvin

Calvin is a tender 4-year-old male weighing 42 lbs. He is a very calm and sweet boy looking for a home with someone who has lots of love to share and isn’t away too long. Calvin was picked up as a stray and was in a shelter. He is still putting his weight back on and is learning how nice a walk on a leash can be. He was very timid on a leash but is starting to walk on a loose leash and explore the goodness of the world. His foster home is working on building his confidence. Calvin has 2 dogs in his foster family (a Labrador and another Pointer) and does great with both of them. Calvin is house-broken, knows “sit” and rides well in the backseat of the car. He’s learning “off”, “down” and “come”. Some additional training during the bonding period will do him wonders. He is food motivated and wants to please. What more can you ask for? As he’s a very calm dog by almost any standard, Calvin is good in 4-ft fencing and does not need a large yard. He does not like to be left alone but is not a typical GSP velcro-dog. He prefers to be in the house and know where his people are than stay outside for long periods of time. Calvin is in Chesapeake, VA.
