Sweet, smart and active. Cash is a 11-month-old, 36# Border Collie mix with a little Kelpie thrown in for fun, according to DNA (which also shows an A+ health report!). He is the definition of optimism with an infectious love of life that brings sunshine to even the dullest day (and we've had a few of those lately). Big connoisseur of walks, balls, toys, playing with other pups and learning new things. At the absolute top of his favorites list are his people. He follows them around like a shadow.
Cash is a flexible, engaged guy ready to enjoy whatever pastimes he and his people choose. He wants to spend time outside and enjoyed a trip to Florida with his foster family. He reports that he loves road trips, new smells and romping on the beach (see pic and video)!! He is willing to try anything as long as he is with his people.
The perfect home for Cash will indulge his love of learning keeping his mind sharp - silly party tricks are right up his alley. He got the 'most likely to make us smile' award at the graduation ceremony for the obedience class he took with his foster mom. His new family could have a physically fenced yard or a history of keeping dogs safe on leash. Cash would love to have a canine sibling - he really enjoys other dogs. He would be ok as an only dog with humans who make him a priority.
Cash could live with older kids and will probably try to herd cats. He walks nicely on leash, especially with when with another dog. He is a fit for a suburban or rural setting where he has a place to safely run and play. He's ready to jump in the car and hit the road to destinations unknown anytime!

As a foster-based rescue, we do not have a central facility to visit. Meet and greets with specific dogs are arranged once your adoption application (not an inquiry through Petfinder) has been received, processed, and approved. We are located in Minnesota and adopt to an area 400 miles from Minneapolis/St. Paul.
Cash's adoption fee is $400 + MN sales tax. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines.
