We’ve all heard the phrase, “You can’t teach an old dog new tricks,” but that couldn’t be further from the truth! Senior dogs have a great attention span and eagerness to please, allowing them to learn faster than more youthful members of their species. And trust us—there is no age limit on puppy dog eyes and zoomies!
Our amazing boy, Chance, has had a bit of a set back as his owner went into a nursing home leaving Chance homeless until Hopeful Tails rescued him, and he has been making our hearts melt on the daily ever since.
Chance is a lover at his core, and will never let you forget how much he loves you. He'll curl up right next to you on the couch and give you a little nudge until you give him a pet, an in turn will give you a few gentle kisses to show you how grateful he is. He is very people-oriented, and loves to be around them in almost any setting. Dogs also have a place in Chance's heart.
Our spunky lover boy's adoption fee is $350 which includes being fully vetted, neutered, microchipped and fecal exam. Our sweetness is 8 year old and is petite weighing 17lbs.

Note:
As we are a rescue all of our dogs for adoption must be spayed or neutered. Although we make every attempt to have this done before finding their adoptive families, this is not always possible. Please speak with your adoption coordinator to see of this service has already been performed or they will explain to you if your new dog/puppy will need this service while in your care at no cost to you.
When emailing please include your phone number to help speed up the adoption process. Also, for the safety of our dogs we only adopt within a 2 hour radius of Joliet, Illinois, to allow our volunteers to do home checks if necessary.
