Meet Christmas
Christmas has a personality that doesn't quit (when he's not sleeping). . .
Christmas is a very unique little Imperial" or "teacup" 10 year old "senior" Shih Tzu.. He came to us from a difficult situation and took a few months to open up to everyone and gain his weight and enthusiasm back.
Christmas basically likes to sleep all day, and yet when it's time for dinner, or a snuggle, or a walk, he becomes a total puppy! Full of energy.
He doesn't hear well, if at all; not sure if it's "selective hearing" ;-). And he has cataracts that don't seem to slow him down much.
His favorite activity is to run after our little 6 year old neighbor and his tricycle. He runs like the wind! Take a look at the video.
He also has what they call "chronic dry eye" which requires drops twice a day.
This little guy is constantly surprising us with his attitude and energy.
We're sure he was a little "Prince" with his original owner. You can tell he was pampered. He loves car rides and we expect was used to sitting up front checking out the world. His owner developed dementia and they both were found in bad condition in her home. He's come a long way til now.
