My Story

Clyde came in as a stray with his friend Bonnie. Bonnie has adapted to kennel life and being handled very well and Clyde has really struggled. He has bonded with 2/3 of kennel staff. He is very smart, protective and loves fetch. He knows most commands. We have him pending to be transferred to a purebred Rottweiler training foster in Seattle but are unsure what that timeline looks like- it would be great if we were able to find someone beforehand. Clyde needs someone who is familiar with this breed, who is determined to work with his protective and fear reactivity. When he feels comfortable he is the sweetest, smartest, most loving puppy and when he feels threatened he will protect himself and Bonnie. We do not like that he constantly feels the need to be in fight or flight mode here and we really hope to find someone ready for the task at hand. He deserves love, attention, to be put to work and trained. He seems to like some dogs but not others. Clyde is very food motivated. If you know a training facility willing to take him in or someone willing to bring him in and give him the confidence he deserves please reach out. He is also on a waitlist to be neutered.
