My Story

Dog name: Confetti Gender: female recently spayed Age/weight: 7yrs / 80lbs Breed: lab mix Heartworm status: just finished her hw treatment Medications/Injuries: currently she is taking prednisone for the Heart Worm treatment. We did start Confetti on a joint supplement that is really helping her! Good with people? OMG! Absolutely Loves Everyone Children? I was able to witness her with a 7 yr old and she did fine. I don’t think she would even mind an infant Dogs? Confetti has been with other dogs. Foster dog and some pet sitting dogs both big and small. She does totally fine Cats? I don’t have one but with her mannerisms I think she would be fine with indoor kitties. Other animals? unknown House trained? absolutely 100% Crate trained? she really doesn’t like it and that’s fine. She’s fine left out. Energy level: medium/low. She has really spunked up with the daily supplement and being Heart Worm treated, and getting rid of nasty parasites Travel well: this is where Confetti is lacking. She hates getting, and being in a car. She has gotten sick before. If you want to travel with her, she might be a negative Favorite toy/activity: eating! There is NO free feeding for this girl. You need to measure out the proper portions. She will eat if it’s there. Leash trained? She will pull but takes correction and easy to handle Fence Required? No fence required. She is easy to walk and takes correction well. Confetti is the perfect companion dog. She is SO easy. Granted she will eat till she pops and she will puke it all up on a car ride but if you love to be at home and will regulate her food intake, she will be your best healthy girl. She gets along with my dogs, and my pet sitting dogs in my home. No aggression! No food aggression, No toy Aggression, No child aggression, She is so good. We never crate her. No desertion, and no problem at night and no problem when we go to work. This girl was loved at one time I believe. Her male owner passed away & no one stepped up for her. So animal control seized her and she was put directly on death row. House of Hope was notified, because we believe in the “seniors”! This girl will be perfect for any family. Please give a “senior” a chance.
