Conner
Adopted
Breed
Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Rottweiler Mix
Meet Conner, a beautiful 7 week old Catahoula Leopard or Aussie and Rottie mix. PLEASE READ ENTIRE BIO. Conner is too small and young to be neutered so he is available for foster to adopt ONLY!! What that means is that he MUST stay local for our partner veterinarians. His foster to adopt family needs to live in Miami Dade, Broward or Palm Beach. Until he gets neutered, PPARAS will be responsible for and manage his medical care. General behavior: Conner is your typical little puppy. He's playful, curious, and oh so smart! He already sleeps through the night and will let you know when he needs to come out of his cage to go potty. Likes & dislikes: Conner is still learning all about the world but he already loves playing with his foster's dogs, toys, and of course, food! Training: Conner is still only 2 months old, but he's doing wonderful on learning how to be a good boy. He goes potty as soon as he goes outside, and will soon master it with continuous positive reinforcement. Medical: Conner will need all of his shots, neutered, and his monthly preventative heartworm and flea prevention medicine - like any other dog. Other animals: Conner is a sweet little puppy and would do lovely with other dogs. He loves playing with his foster's large dog who is teaching him manners. Children: Conner is good with children, but continuous efforts will need to be made to ensure that he is redirected to toys when he tries using his teeth on little humans. Home: Conner is a very smart boy but being that he's still a puppy, his new family will need to teach continue his training. That includes ensuring that he doesn't bite/chew anything he's not supposed to, continue potty training him, teaching him how to walk on a leash, and how to be a good canine citizen in general. We also prefer a home with another dog for proper socialization. Grooming: So far Conner is short haired. He will need his regular baths, ear cleaning, and nail trims. Overall: Conner is your typical puppy who loves life, learning, and cuddles from his humans. His new family will need to continue socializing him with dogs, people, and new experiences at this early stages of his life to be a confident dog.
