Dexter

Dexter was left behind when his owner moved away last year. The new resident took him in but can no longer care for Dexter, as they just had a new baby. They guess he is 1-2 years of age. Dexter has some skin issues and has been seen by a vet. He has a habit of biting his skin to the point where he bleeds and was prescribed steroids and antibiotics. Homeopathic treatments were also tried - diet changes, healing sprays, anti bite sprays, etc. Dexter gets along with other dogs and cats, likes older children and people. He is a playful boy and likes to show you his toys but not give them to you! He is an affection boy and enjoys receiving attention. He is a sweet heart and a wonderful dog and has a goofy personality. He is crate trained and housebroken. He was distrustful and depressed after his first owners left him alone and may have some separation anxiety. A doggy companion and loving family will make all the difference for this boy.
