Dolly

Dolly is a 2.5 year old spayed female coonhound mix who weighs 50 lbs. Dolly was rescued from a desperate situation. She was one of 30 dogs and puppies living in a small home. Their owners reached out for help due to medical issues, and the local rural shelter was unable to provide them any assistance other than euthanasia due to overcrowding. We are grateful help was sought and we were able to do our part to keep these dogs safe! If you remember the Bluey litter of heeler/hound puppies we had available for adoption last summer, Dolly is their mama! She is now ready to find a forever home of her very own. This beautiful girl is quite the catch! She is enough of a hound for hound lovers to fall head over heels but is also enough of a mix (with what, we don't know) that her bark isn't as "houndy" as it could be and she will break off from a scent outside to come when called. She is great with other dogs but does not rely on them. Whether she is an only dog, has a bunch of doggy siblings, or simple socializes regularly in her forever family she'll be content. Dolly loves human interaction once she gets to know you. She can be a little shy at first but is quick to trust if given the chance. Dolly walks great on a leash, and she is house- and crate trained. This girl has the looks AND brains! She is super smart and treat motivated. Her ears are as soft as velvet - just like her personality!
