My Story

Dozer knows no stranger and loves people of all ages and sizes. He's incredibly gentle with our one year old and one of his favorite hobbies is jumping on the trampoline with our five year old. He truly is a "one type fits all" type of dog... He is 100% content sleeping on the couch covered in mounds of blankets, yet just as content adventuring outside as long as it's not raining or terribly cold (his agility and stamina is out of this world - he would make a phenomenal running or hiking partner). Regardless, as long as he is with his people, he is happy. He is extremely attached to humans so a home with someone who is home frequently (or can take him with them places) would be best. Dozer is a great car rider, walks well on a leash after the first few minutes of excitement (he is not a runner and will stay right by you though so we don't leash him unless we are in public), knows basic commands ("go lay down," "sit," "stay"), crate trained (but does not have to be put in a crate - we can leave him in the house for 12 hours a day with no issues - he will just snooze on the couch with his blankets). My only recommendation for his future home would be that he is either an only dog or a meet and greet with other large dogs (preferably female) happen before adoption as he can sometimes be dog selective - absolutely no small dogs as he does have the typical "lab hunting" in him.
