He did very well and with only 4 more one-week sessions in the water tread mill he will be able to go to his forever home. Drake will be a little shy at first but once he warms up to you, he will be all about YOU. He loves lap time and spending time outside with you and helping with yard work. If you decide you want to adopt this sweet boy, you will have to continue to protect his back so no other injury happens. Dachshunds are often not patient with little kids, and kids can accidentally hurt a dachshund’s back or get bitten. They have the most up-to-date information concerning the dog and would be happy to answer any questions about the animal. There will be an additional $60 fee added for a required Health Certificate if traveling out of the state in which they are being fostered. We will not adopt into CT, RI, NH, ME, or MA due to strict laws regarding importation of dogs into those states. If you have any issue with this, you will need to take this up with your legislatures.
