DUDLEY

Meet DUDLEY! We rescued poor Dudley when his elderly mom had to go into a nursing home. She was the only mom he has ever known which is so hard on a senior pup! He came to us confused, depressed and matted. In just over two weeks, we have come to know this little 12 yr old cutie. Dudley got a grooming first and foremost! He does require daily brushing and a grooming approximately every 8 weeks. Poms have two coats and have to be maintained. True to his Pomeranian heritage, Dudley can be a little protective and somewhat possessive of his 'person'. He gets along with his foster's two dogs and cat, but if they invade his bubble, he will let them know to back off. He has a favorite toy he humps, which however has mostly stopped since his grooming. Sir Dudley is food oriented ~ he used to bark during every meal, now it’s more like a moan. Who can blame him? Mangia! He’s house trained, but he may have an accident or two initially. He’s now on a schedule of breakfast and dinner. Being on the senior side, his knees would benefit from a joint supplement. His teeth are in good shape for a 12 year old but could use a cleaning down the road. He’s in bed by no later than 9pm (I have a dog bed on my side of my bed that he sleeps in). He is playful, but that is more occasional. Dudley is still acclimating and making leaps and bounds. He definitely prefers women to men, so he would do best with a female as his main caretaker. He’s great on the leash. Since he came from a bit of a hoarding situation, he does enjoy digging through trash, so heads up. This little man lost the only mom he has ever known and is still adjusting but he has come so far in just two weeks. Dudley still has a lot of life and a lot of love to give so please consider giving his handsome little guy a loving forever home for his golden years.
