You will need an appointment to meet the animal where they are being fostered, with an approved application. Home checks and vet references are required for all adopters. He was born April 2019, making him just over 4.5 years old. He is black and white in color, with a golden auburn muzzle and little golden auburn eyebrows. He also has the most adorable black spots speckled throughout his coat, like someone dusted him with soot or black pepper. Duke is the sweetest boy, and will make a great companion. He loves to hang out, or go on adventures with his human. He would prefer a quiet home, with children 10 and over. Duke was diagnosed with Addison's Disease 1 year ago. He currently visits his veterinarian monthly for injections to help manage this, but his forever home can opt for the prescription to give injections at home if experienced/comfortable. Duke also takes medication daily, and we can disscuss this more in detail if you believe you are the PERFECT home for Duke. Duke regularly visits the groomer and does well. He gets along great with other dogs. He has not yet been introduced to cats, but with a slow, proper introduction he may do well. Duke requires a fenced yard. Duke is house trained, neutered, and will be up to date on vaccinations at time of adoption. Duke will be a foster to adopt situation. Because of his special medical needs, we need to be sure he is fitting in with his new family, and help make sure the family is comfortable managing his disease. Duke's adoption fee is $250.
